Highgate Establishes $500,000 Relief Fund for Associates Affected by COVID-19
Fund Reflects Highgate’s Culture of Rallying to Support Communities in Need
Highgate, a leading real estate investment and hospitality management company, today announced the launch of The Highgate Charitable Foundation Associate Relief Fund with an initial $500,000 contribution from the firm. The fund will provide financial support to current and furloughed Highgate associates across the U.S. who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as future disasters.
The Highgate Charitable Foundation Associate Relief Fund will be managed by the Highgate Charitable Foundation, Highgate’s existing 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which fundraises on behalf of a diverse array of public charities and philanthropic initiatives dedicated to the betterment of our local and global communities. Grants from the fund, which will be distributed based on an assessment of need, can be used to support the immediate and critical concerns facing Highgate associates.
The Highgate Charitable Foundation was formed in 2018 to serve as a philanthropic vehicle for Highgate associates, guests, suppliers and business partners to make contributions to efforts in promoting global good. The Foundation supports philanthropic organizations and communities worldwide that address issues related to poverty, education and healthcare. The Foundation has actively supported Save The Children and the Aga Khan Foundation. To date, the Foundation has helped nearly 2 million children in the U.S. and around the world find access to health care, opportunities for education and protection from harm and tragedy.
